Soil Guard® BFM conforms to the soil surface on contact, eliminating tenting and under-rilling problems that plague other methods. No special site preparation required — one hydraulic application delivers complete coverage even on sites where blanket-like protection is required but installation is impractical.

  Blanket Performance at a Fraction of the Labor Cost

Soil Guard® delivers the erosion control performance of an erosion control blanket with dramatically less time and labor. Soil Guard® application costs significantly less than conventional methods, and it can be applied on sites where blankets can’t be physically installed. Once dry, it forms a flexible bonded mat that can withstand wind and rain for up to nine months.

  Enhanced Germination — Holds Seed in Place

Soil Guard® holds seed and fertilizer in place while allowing moisture, sunlight, and plants to penetrate the matrix. The patented bonded fiber mat slowly releases moisture to the soil below, maintains cohesion through heavy rain events, and provides a protected growing environment for emerging seedlings.

≤3H:1V or flatter: 3,000 lbs/acre (3,499 kg/ha) • >3H:1V and ≤2H:1V: 3,500 lbs/acre (3,900 kg/ha) • >2H:1V and ≤1H:1V: 4,000 lbs/acre (4,500 kg/ha). 100% biodegradable, non-toxic, no plastic netting. Packaged in 50 lb. bales (22.6 kg).
