Establish vegetation during the active growing season with erosion control solutions that protect seed, support germination, and promote growth on disturbed or challenging energy sites.
Protect exposed soil through winter—with or without seed. Our solutions stabilize sites through rain, snowmelt, and freeze-thaw conditions while supporting spring germination where dormant seeding is used.
Keep sediment out of nearby waterways and stay compliant with state and federal stormwater regulations. LSC's proven sediment control solutions reduce turbidity at the source before it ever leaves the site.
Stabilize exposed stockpiles against wind and water erosion, reducing soil loss, sediment runoff, and the need for repeated maintenance.
Control nuisance odors from drilling, fracking, processing, storage, refineries, and other energy operations with solutions designed to neutralize malodors at the source—not simply mask them.
Energy projects move fast and shut down slow — construction wraps up, winter sets in, and disturbed ground still needs to be protected. Erosion control, revegetation, and stormwater compliance can't wait for ideal conditions. At LSC Environmental Products, we deliver proven solutions engineered to perform when the season is against you, giving you immediate site stability and a clear path to permanent vegetation.
For more than three decades, energy operators across North America have relied on LSC to stabilize and revegetate well pads, pipelines, and power generation sites — in every season and under the scrutiny of state and federal regulators. Our solutions are trusted to perform in the most demanding field conditions.
At LSC, performance is practical. Our systems are designed to reduce field complexity while delivering measurable results:
These advantages translate into real results. When a major gas producer in Pennsylvania faced repeated failures with high-end rolled erosion control products on a Marcellus Shale pipeline project, LSC's solution held through 4.5 inches of rain in a single month — establishing full vegetation in 30 days.
With LSC, site stabilization isn't just a checkbox — it's protection, performance, and peace of mind from the moment of application.

A hydraulically applied erosion control solution offering excellent turbidity reduction and quick growth establishment. The proven standard in hydraulic erosion control. Independent NTPEP ASTM D6459 Soil Loss Testing proves EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix™ outperforms all competition including single and double net straw and coconut blankets, and other commonly used hydraulic and rolled erosion control products.

Patented hydraulic or dry-apply pellet technology with +99.9% erosion control rating. Requires 50% less water than other hydraulically applied erosion products. Available in dark green or blue.

A temporary erosion and dust control product that stabilizes soil immediately. Apply with a water truck, hydroseeder, or spray rig — even during a rain event. Controls turbidity, TSS, heavy metals, and ash at low application rates of 3–10 gal/acre.

An engineered Hydraulic Biotic Soil Amendment (HBSA) combining EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix erosion control with Organix™ topsoil replacement — two proven products in one convenient application.

Spray-applied membrane designed to protect air, soil, and waterways from the toxic impacts of contaminated sites.

A concentrated, multi-component blend of natural odor neutralizing compounds. Industry-specific formulations for wastewater, landfills, transfer stations, composting, rendering, petrochemical, asphalt, and more. Non-toxic, biodegradable, and immediately effective.

After watching two premium Rolled Erosion Control Products fail on a Pennsylvania pipeline site, a major gas producer specified EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix™. Less than 24 hours after Penn Line Service hydroseeded the slope, a severe storm dropped over an inch of rain — the first of 18 rain days that month. EarthGuard® not only prevented erosion, it protected the seed and delivered full vegetative establishment in 30 days.
This real-world case study demonstrates how hydraulically applied EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix™ outperforms even the best rolled erosion control blankets when weather won’t wait. See the compelling before-and-after results — and the testimonial from the site’s Senior Environmental Coordinator — that make the case for switching your standard erosion control spec.
Dormant seeding places seed after temperatures have fallen low enough to prevent germination, allowing it to remain in place until conditions support spring growth. Winterization stabilizes exposed soil through winter without necessarily including seed. LSC offers erosion control solutions for both applications, helping protect sites from rainfall, snowmelt, runoff, and freeze-thaw conditions.
EarthGuard® Liquid, Dust COV-R, and DustControl DG are all effective for oil and gas site dust control applications. EarthGuard® Liquid provides immediate dust suppression and soil stabilization and can be applied with standard water trucks. Dust COV-R is a polymer-based stabilizer that binds soil particles and provides lasting dust control on high-traffic access roads and staging areas. DustControl DG is an organic soil binder that penetrates the soil profile and holds particles together, making it an environmentally preferred option for sensitive locations. LSC’s technical team can recommend the right product based on soil type, traffic levels, and site access.
Yes. LSC’s pellet mulch products — including EDGE™ and EZ Mulch™ — can be applied via aerial bucket application, dry spreader, or blower equipment, making them ideal for remote pipeline rights-of-way and steep terrain where ground equipment access is limited or impractical. EarthGuard® Liquid can also be applied by helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft in appropriate formulations for post-construction dust and erosion control on remote locations.
