Establish. Stabilize. Revegetate.

Solutions for Erosion Control & Revegetation

A complete line of hydraulic mulches, performance erosion control products, soil amendments, and stabilizers to establish vegetation on any site.

The Right Solution for Every Erosion Control Challenge

Erosion Control & Revegetation

From base mulches to premium fiber matrix systems, LSC erosion control and revegetation products are available in hydraulic and dry-apply formats — including pelletized options — to fit any site condition, access constraint, or project budget. Where longer-term soil encapsulation is needed, LSC also offers field-proven solutions designed for durable, extended surface containment.

Soil Enhancement

Engineered Hydraulic Biotic Soil Amendments (HBSAs) like Organix™ and Fusion™ that reclaim, rebuild, or replace depleted topsoil with beneficial microbes, growth mediums, and organic builders — eliminating costly truckloads of replacement soil.

Soil Stabilization &
Sediment Control

Liquid soil stabilizers and passive polyacrylamide BMPs that lock down exposed soils and bind suspended sediment, nutrients, and heavy metals into settleable flocs — keeping effluent clean and sites in stormwater compliance.

Why Contractors Choose LSC for Erosion Control & Revegetation

Whether you’re managing a highway corridor, a post-construction slope, a mining reclamation site, or a utility right-of-way, LSC has a proven product for your application and budget. Our complete lineup—from base mulches to high-performance fiber matrix systems—is available through an extensive distributor network, giving contractors broad access to the right solution for every project condition.

The LSC Advantage

  •  Complete Selection. Broad Access: Choose from a complete range of hydroseeding and erosion control products available through LSC’s extensive distributor network.
  •  Proven Performance: LSC products consistently deliver top erosion control ratings in independent third-party testing, meeting the most stringent IECA, AASHTO, and DOT specifications.
  •  Soil Building: Organix™ and Fusion™ don’t just control erosion — they actively rebuild depleted soil biology, supporting long-term vegetation and reducing re-seeding costs.
  •  Application Flexibility: Hydraulic, dry, or pellet application — LSC products work in any climate, any season, and with any standard hydroseeding equipment.

From first application to final vegetation establishment, LSC gives you the products and technical support to get the job done right the first time.

Featured Erosion Control & Revegetation Products

  • How do I choose between a mulch, a fiber matrix, and a bonded fiber matrix?

It comes down to three things: slope, how much rain you expect before vegetation establishes, and how long the surface has to hold on its own.

Base hydraulic mulches such as LSC Premium Paper Mulch and LSC 70/30 Fiber Blend suit flatter ground and shorter exposure windows. The 70/30 blend delivers 96.9% ground cover with functional longevity up to two months.

Fiber Reinforced and Cross-linked Matrix products such as Flex Guard® and Spray Guard® bond to the soil immediately with no cure time required, which matters when rain is already in the forecast. Soil Guard®, the original Bonded Fiber Matrix, delivers blanket-level protection on severe slopes.

At the top of the range, EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix and HELIX™ pair stabilizer chemistry with fiber. HELIX™ tests at a C factor below 0.01 under ASTM D6459 with greater than 99% erosion control effectiveness, a cure time of three hours or more, and longevity up to 12 months in application experience.

  • What makes EarthGuard® different from a standard hydromulch?

EarthGuard® is a patented soil stabilizer, not just a fiber cover. It bonds the soil itself rather than only blanketing it, which is why it holds at lower application rates.

In NTPEP ASTM D6459 soil loss testing, impartial third-party results show EarthGuard® outperforming Curlex®, single and double net straw blankets, single and double net coconut blankets, double net straw and coconut blankets, ProMatrix™, Flexterra®, and other commonly used hydraulic and rolled erosion control products.

It also delivers excellent turbidity reduction and promotes quick growth establishment. Because the rates are lower, you move less material, use less water, and spend fewer labor hours per acre.

  • What application rate should we plan on?

Rate is driven by slope and by how much rainfall you expect before vegetation is adequately established.

Under normal conditions, meaning less than 20 inches of rain before establishment, EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix runs 1,500 lb per acre at 4:1 or flatter, 1,800 lb at 3:1, 2,000 lb at 2:1, and 3,000 lb at 1:1 or steeper.

Under severe conditions, more than 20 inches, plan on 2,000 lb per acre at 5:1 or flatter, 2,500 lb at 4:1, and 3,000 lb at 3:1 or steeper.

The same coverage can be built on site with EarthGuard® Liquid mixed with the mulch of your choice, at roughly 4 to 10 gallons per acre depending on slope and conditions. EarthGuard® Liquid also handles dust control at 10 gallons per acre. Some extreme situations require higher rates, so confirm with your LSC representative before ordering.

  • What if we cannot get a hydroseeder on site, or water is scarce?

EDGE™ is EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix in pellet form, and it solves both problems.

Applied hydraulically, the compact pellet is easier to transport, handle, and load, and it requires approximately 50% less water to install than other hydraulically applied erosion products. Applied dry, by hand, with a spreader, or aerially, it needs no water at all. The pellets expand on contact with dew or rainfall, spreading both the fiber and the patented EarthGuard® stabilizer.

That takes cold weather, water supply, and site access off the table as constraints, and it makes small sites practical where mobilizing a hydraulic application is not cost effective. EDGE™ carries a +99.9% erosion control rating and is available in dark green or blue.

  • Our site has no usable topsoil. Do we have to truck it in?

Usually not. Organix™ is an engineered Hydraulic Biotic Soil Amendment that reclaims, rebuilds, or replaces depleted topsoil using organic materials, beneficial microbes, mycorrhizae, microbial and plant growth stimulators, and growth mediums. Typical application runs 3,500 to 5,500 lb per acre, which removes the cost and schedule impact of hauling truckloads of replacement soil.

Fusion™ takes it one step further by combining Organix™ with EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix, so soil building and erosion control happen in a single spray-on application with no additional erosion control treatment needed.
