EarthBOUND® Floc Tabs and Floc Rolls introduce flocculant treatment directly into stormwater flow paths, drainage channels, detention ponds, and sediment basins. As the products interact with turbid water, they help bind suspended sediment and other fine particles into larger, settleable flocs.
Available in two application formats, Floc Rolls are designed for drainage channels and areas with flowing water, while Floc Tabs are engineered for detention and sediment ponds. Together, they provide a low-maintenance way to improve water clarity, accelerate settling, and support stormwater discharge compliance within an existing sediment-control system.
EarthBOUND® Floc Rolls and Floc Tabs provide two practical ways to introduce flocculant treatment into a stormwater management system. Floc Rolls treat water as it moves through drainage channels, while Floc Tabs provide gradual treatment within detention and sediment ponds.
EarthBOUND® Floc Tabs are engineered for use in detention ponds and sediment ponds. Placed within the pond, the tabs dissolve gradually and introduce flocculant treatment into the standing water. This helps suspended particles form larger flocs, settle more quickly, and improve the clarity of water awaiting discharge.
Floc Tabs are packaged in 35-pound boxes and supplied in 25-inch netting tubes.
EarthBOUND® Floc Rolls are placed near the upper end of drainage channels, along active flow paths, or near disturbed areas under construction. As turbid stormwater flows past the roll, flocculant is gradually released into the water, binding suspended particles into larger flocs that can settle in a downstream sediment-control area.
Each Floc Roll measures approximately 12 inches long and is packaged in 4- to 10-pound rolls.
Both products use an anionic polyacrylamide-based flocculant that binds organic and inorganic colloids into flocs heavy enough to settle out of suspension. This treatment can help capture suspended soils, nutrients, bacteria, and certain heavy metals.
The formulation is non-toxic according to U.S. EPA aquatic and chronic toxicity testing, contains no nonylphenol or nonylphenol ethoxylates, and complies with ANSI/NSF Standard 60 requirements for residual acrylamide monomer.
By reducing turbidity and accelerating sediment settling, EarthBOUND® Floc Rolls and Floc Tabs help sites improve the quality of effluent stormwater and support discharge compliance. They can be incorporated into stormwater controls for construction sites, industrial facilities, landfills, mines, coal ash facilities, dredging operations, and dewatering projects.
Faster settling can reduce ponding time, protect downstream waterbodies, and help keep projects moving.
