Base Mulches
A full line of base mulches — from economical paper mulch to premium 70/30 wood-paper blends — compatible with all standard hydroseeding equipment and available with or without integrated tackifier.
Pellet Mulches
Compact pellet mulches use approximately 50% less water and can be spread by hand, with a pellet spreader, or through a hydroseeder. For premium erosion control, EDGE™ provides high-performance protection with the same flexible application options.
Performance Mulches
When standard mulches aren’t enough, LSC’s EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix, HELIX™, Flex Guard®, Soil Guard®, and Spray Guard® deliver the erosion control ratings needed for challenging landscape slopes and high-visibility projects.
Soil Amendments
Give your clients more than grass seed — give them living soil. Organix™ and Fusion™ combine soil-building biology with erosion control for dramatically better long-term results and fewer call-backs.
LSC products are designed to load easily, mix cleanly, and apply reliably—delivering consistent performance that helps contractors work efficiently and protect their reputation on every job.
LSC combines professional-grade products with an extensive distribution network of over 1,400 locations globally. From economical paper mulch to premium performance fiber matrices, contractors have access to solutions for virtually every type of project.

Made from 100% virgin wood fibers, Mesic® forms a protective mulch mat that aids erosion control, holds seed in place, and provides an excellent environment for seed germination.

A hydraulically applied wood/paper blend combining clean recycled newsprint with long-strand thermally processed wood fibers. Superior to straight paper mulch for rapid germination and accelerated plant growth.

A low density, low moisture baled hydraulic mulch manufactured from post-consumer newsprint. Contains no weed seed, decreases downtime, and reduces equipment wear and tear.

EZ Mulch Advanced Formula expands fully within minutes and holds up to 40% more water than other pellet mulches. Formulated from recycled paper and corn fiber with no weed seed.

Patented hydraulic or dry-apply pellet technology with +99.9% erosion control rating. Requires 50% less water than other hydraulically applied erosion products. Available in dark green or blue.

A hydraulically applied erosion control solution offering excellent turbidity reduction and quick growth establishment

An engineered Hydraulic Biotic Soil Amendment (HBSA) combining soil-enhancing organic materials, microbial stimulators, growth mediums, soil stabilizers, and soil builders. Eliminates costly truckloads of replacement soil.
Pellet mulches like EDGE™ and EZ Mulch™ AF offer several practical advantages for hydroseeding contractors. They are compatible with both mechanical- and jet-agitation hydroseeders and require approximately 50% less water to apply than conventional bale mulches, significantly reducing fill time and fuel costs. They load without bale cutting and mix quickly, improving daily productivity. They can also be applied dry with a fertilizer spreader or blower for sites with limited water access, cold-weather conditions, difficult terrain, or areas a hydroseeder cannot easily reach.
The upgrade conversation makes sense whenever a project has slopes steeper than 3:1, is subject to intense rainfall or concentrated runoff, or carries significant consequences if erosion control fails—such as sites near waterways, high-visibility locations, or projects where washouts could lead to costly callbacks. Performance mulches like EarthGuard® Fiber Matrix, HELIX™, and Flex Guard® provide significantly higher erosion control performance than standard wood fiber mulch and can mean the difference between a job that holds and one that washes—protecting your reputation and your client’s investment.
Consider a biotic soil amendment when the soil itself is too depleted, compacted, disturbed, or low in organic matter to support reliable vegetation establishment. Organix™ and Fusion™ help rebuild the growing environment by improving soil structure, nutrient availability, moisture retention, and biological activity. They are especially valuable on reclamation sites, severely disturbed soils, areas where previous seeding attempts have failed, or projects where importing and spreading replacement topsoil would be costly or impractical.
Yes. All LSC hydraulic mulch products — bale and pellet formats — are compatible with standard jet-agitation and mechanical-agitation hydroseeders. Pellet products activate and disperse quickly, reducing tank preparation time compared to conventional bale mulch. For specific application rates, water ratios, and equipment setup guidance, LSC’s technical team is available to provide site-specific recommendations.
