Solar Spark® Vent Flares are simple, reliable, solar-ignited flares that mount directly on all types of landfill vents. The solar panel provides continuous ignition with no need for external power, even in cloudy conditions.

The proprietary Dual Expansion Carbureting Flare Head is designed for effective combustion of landfill gas at ambient pressures from 2–140 SCFM. The unique design allows for operation in extremely windy conditions, while the ruggedly constructed Spark-Pilot™ provides continuous ignition even in rainy weather.

  Proprietary Dual Expansion Carbureting Flare Head

The proprietary flare head is engineered for effective combustion across a wide range of ambient gas pressures from 2–140 SCFM, handling variable gas quality and flow rate without adjustment. The unique dual expansion carburetion design also enables operation in extremely windy conditions that would extinguish conventional flares.

  Continuous Ignition in Any Conditions

The solar panel with battery system delivers continuous spark ignition even in cloudy or completely dark conditions. The ruggedly constructed Spark-Pilot™ provides reliable reignition specifically in rainy weather — the most common failure point for competing solar flare systems. A fully charged system functions for at least 20 days in complete darkness.

  Two Models for Every Flow Rate

Model CF-5 (6V): Landfill gas flow rate 2–90 SCFM • Model CF-10 (12V): Landfill gas flow rate 5–140 SCFM. Design methane content 30%–100%. Inline stainless steel wire gauze flame arrester and stainless steel ball valve. USEPA approved for use at MSW landfills with optional pilot/thermocouple/data logger kit.

  Custom Mounting and Complete Package

Can be custom mounted to fit any landfill vent situation. Complete package includes solar ignition system, Spark-Pilot™, flare head, flame arrester, piping, and stainless steel ball valve.
